Accessibility

Last updated: March 20, 2026

KeyCover is committed to ensuring that our mobile application and website are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level.

Our Commitment

We believe that every licensed real estate agent should be able to use KeyCover to request and cover property showings, regardless of ability. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we are continuously working to improve the experience for all users.

What We Do

Semantic HTML

Our website and application use proper HTML structure with meaningful headings, landmarks, lists, and labels. This ensures that screen readers and assistive technologies can accurately interpret and navigate our content.

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements on our website — links, buttons, and form controls — are accessible via keyboard. You can navigate using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Escape keys without requiring a mouse.

Screen Reader Support

We use ARIA attributes where appropriate to provide additional context for screen reader users. Form fields include descriptive labels, error messages are announced, and dynamic content updates are communicated.

Color and Contrast

We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background elements to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Important information is never conveyed by color alone — we use text labels, icons, and patterns as additional indicators.

Responsive Design

Our website adapts to different screen sizes and works with browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. Text can be resized without assistive technology.

Focus Indicators

Interactive elements display visible focus indicators so keyboard users can always identify which element is currently selected.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas are still being improved:

  • Photo proof submission — the photo capture and upload process within the mobile app relies on device camera APIs that may have varying levels of accessibility support depending on the device and operating system
  • Map interactions — property location maps may have limited screen reader support; text-based address information is always provided as an alternative
