• License verification results from ARELLO (Association of Real Estate License Law Officials)

Showing Activity

When you use KeyCover to request or cover showings, we collect:

• Property addresses associated with showing requests
• Showing dates, times, and notes
• Geo-tagged, timestamped photographs submitted as proof of completion
• GPS location data (used to verify proximity to showing properties)
• Ratings and review comments

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, bank account number, or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers. Stripe collects and processes payment information in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

Device and Usage Information

We automatically collect:

• Device type, operating system, and version
• App version
• Push notification tokens
• Usage patterns and feature interactions

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide our services — match agents for showing coverage, process payments, and facilitate communication
• Verify your identity and license — ensure all platform participants are licensed real estate agents
• Process payments — charge requesting agents, hold funds in escrow, and pay covering agents
• Verify showing completion — validate that geo-tagged photos meet proximity and timing requirements
• Resolve disputes — review photo evidence and transaction records when disputes arise
• Send notifications — alert you to new showing requests, status updates, and payment confirmations
• Improve our services — analyze usage patterns to enhance the platform
• Ensure safety and compliance — prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Use, and comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in these circumstances:

• With other agents — when matched for a showing, the other agent sees your name, verification badge, rating, and communication necessary to complete the showing
• Service providers — we use third-party services including:
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud hosting and infrastructure
  • Amazon Cognito for authentication
  • Stripe for payment processing
  • ARELLO for license verification
  • Persona for identity verification
  • Amazon Bedrock for AI-powered document verification
• Legal requirements — when required by law, subpoena, or government request
• Safety — to protect the rights, property, or safety of KeyCover, our users, or the public

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
• Secure authentication via Amazon Cognito with multi-factor authentication
• Secrets management via AWS Secrets Manager
• Regular security reviews and updates

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Showing records, photos, and payment history are retained for a minimum of 3 years for dispute resolution and legal compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and personal information
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Location Data

KeyCover collects GPS location data when you submit proof-of-completion photos. This data is used solely to verify that photos were taken within 200 meters of the showing property address. Location data is associated with the specific showing record and is not used for tracking or advertising purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

KeyCover is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. All users must be licensed real estate agents, which requires being at least 18 years old.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification or email. Continued use of KeyCover after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
